Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Alpha Phi National Statement
Alpha Phi is committed to providing education and resources that build cultural competence to actively engage in conversations that challenge one another to uphold the highest tenants of Human Dignity. As Alpha Phis, we expect our members to live up to our High Ideals and to show the best qualities of character by being fair, inclusive and supportive, which is exemplified through the work of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion department.
MIT Alpha Phi Statement
At the Zeta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi at MIT, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. We acknowledge that sororities have historically been exclusionary, and we are actively working to change this narrative through education, open dialogue, and intentional action. We welcome sisters from all backgrounds and hold one another to the highest standards of acceptance throughout the recruitment and sisterhood journey.
Equitable Recruitment
We strive to keep our recruitment process equitable through training, open discussions, and bias-conscious decision making.
Ongoing Education
We host regularly programmed discussions about diversity, equity, and inclusion to foster a community founded on respect and appreciation.
Community Engagement
We actively seek connections with a variety of communities on campus to broaden perspectives within our sisterhood.
