Welcome to Our House

I am so fortunate to be the current House Director at Alpha Phi. During this academic year, I have been getting to know MIT students, parents and alumni that make this house, truly a warm and welcoming home. I am touched by the level of mutual kind consideration and support members extend to one another on a daily basis. It is inspiring, and illuminates the reason members feel Alpha Phi is a special place of belonging. The exceptional people at Alpha Phi have brought my own life meaning and purpose. I hope to help create lasting memories for each student residing within the home and add value to the Alpha Phi-MIT experience!

- Lauren, House Director

We have a TV room, dining room, parlor room, and chapter room where sisters hang out or do work together. We also have a study where sisters can go to if they need to work in a quiet space, and a gym with a stationery bike and some other workout equipment.

Located in Back Bay near Fenway Stadium, our house is a historic brownstone central to our activities at Alpha Phi.

We take safety and security very seriously at the Alpha Phi house. We always improve our systems and procedures whenever we can. All house entrances require a door code to enter and are monitored with cameras. Each member has a unique code, and members are fined if they share their code with anyone else. We do this to guarantee only members have access to the house. Our House Director Lauren lives in our house and is normally around to answer the door, receive mail and packages, and observe who enters and leaves our house. If she sees anything suspicious, she reports it immediately. Additionally, all guests in our house must be greeted at the door, escorted, and walked out the door by the member they are visiting. This ensures guests never walk around the house alone and don’t have door code access.
