Massachusetts Institute of Technology | Zeta Phi Chapter
The Zeta Phi chapter has always put an emphasis on scholarship and the ability of the chapter to help its members be successful in this area. Our chapter has worked to help our members excel in academics, such as the Scholarship Big/Little Program, frequent review sessions run by upperclassmen, sharing of advice regarding class scheduling, study environments conducive to learning without distraction, rewarding members who attend classes regularly, and recognizing those who have made outstanding scholastic achievements. The Scholarship Big/Little program maintains that the semester after a new member has declared a major, they are matched with an upperclassman in the same major or field of study. This program is unique to our chapter and is something that members continually voice their appreciation of.
In addition to providing members with multiple resources for learning material, studying for exams, and obtaining advice, the Zeta Phi chapter helps to maintain the positive attitude that is critical for scholastic achievement. The chapter leaders help to emphasize the importance of being productive and staying motivated, while remembering to take breaks and share one’s accomplishments with friends.
